Free Stories From Colin M. Drysdale

On this part of the site you will find short stories written by Colin M. Drysdale. These are grouped into three sections. The first contains short stories set in the world of For Those In Peril On The Sea. These stories are based on ideas or set pieces which, while interesting, didn't fit into the storyline for the original book or any of the planned sequels. These have been written to allow the author to explore these ideas and are provided here to help 'flesh out' the world in which the books are set. Some of these stories may feature characters from the books themselves, or refer to events mentioned in it, while others are completely unconnected. What they have in common is that they all conform to the rules for the world the author established when writing For Those In Peril On The Sea. You can find these stories here.

The second section contains short stories featuring traditional, risen-from-the-dead zombies rather than the zombie-like infected that feature in For Those In Peril On The Sea (if you're interested in finding out more about the differences between these two, click here). While some of these are typical short stories, others explore different forms of fiction, such as flash fiction or Twitter fiction. You can find these stories here.

The final section contains other types of short stories. Some of these are post-apocalyptic in nature, others are just about a snippet of modern life and there's no over-arching theme to them. You can find these stories here.

In both cases, the stories are provided as PDFs which can be viewed using many ebook readers or using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
